SNOW GROOMER EXPERIENCE

Catch a ride with one of our snow groomers as they trace the trails!

At Les 2 Alpes, the snow groomer experience activity offers a unique experience for mountain lovers.

This 30-minute activity allows visitors to climb aboard a snow groomer in the company of a professional and explore behind the scenes of the ski area. During this experience, the groomer shares his daily routine, his missions, and explains the challenges encountered in preparing the slopes as well as preserving and maintaining the glacier.

Set against the imposing backdrop of the 2 Alpes glacier, at an altitude of 3,400 metres, visitors will discover the nuts and bolts of a job that is essential to guaranteeing the quality and safety of the slopes. The groomer shows them the different grooming techniques, adapted according to the weather, the type of snow and how often the pistes are used. As well as managing an imposing and complex machine, the groomer must anticipate snow conditions and act accordingly, a precise skill that is passed on during this immersive activity.

Discovering the groomer's job is not limited to the technical aspects of driving. It's also a chance to appreciate the passion and commitment of these professionals to preserving the ski area, where every operation is carefully thought through to minimise environmental impact.

This activity is offered in Les 2 Alpes every Wednesday from 18 December and on Wednesdays and Thursdays during the end-of-year and February holidays. It's open to young and old, children and adults, pedestrians and skiers alike, and takes place in a friendly, authentic atmosphere.It's a great way to get to know the area in a different way, and to better understand what goes on behind the scenes of our modern ski resorts. Participants leave with a new vision of the mountain, and will never forget this special moment, which transforms the way they look at the ski area and the people who make it possible for them to ski day after day.

Practical info

When ?

Every Wednesday starting: Wednesday, December 18th, 2024.
A second session can be available on Thursdays during Christmas and February school holidays, subject to confimation.

Time and meeting point

• From December 18th, 2024, until February 5th, 2025: from 1:30pm to 4:00pm.
• From February 12th, 2025: from 1:30pm to 4:30pm.

2 groomers are available at each time slot
Each rotation lasts 30min with 1 or 2 people per groomer.

Meeting point:
For the first rotation at 1:30pm: at the Aid station at 3 200 m top of the Jandri II
For the other rotations (after 1:30pm): at the top of the funicular at 3 400 m.

The price

€ 45.00 - per rotation.

The conditions

Limited number of places.
Reservation required.
The reservation is made at the moment of the purchase, either online or at the cash desk until 12:00pm on the day of the activity.
Ski pass or pedestrian pass mandatory.
The Snow Groomer Experience activity is not refundable.
